Lakeland Water Damage Restoration
When you are dealing with water damage every second counts. Taking immediate action is crucial to the recovery process. PuroClean is here to provide you with water damage recovery services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When a disaster strikes our goal is to restore your home or property and peace of mind as quickly as possible.
Water is the single most long-term destructive substance in an indoor environment. Excess moisture or flooding can cause structures and personal property to rapidly deteriorate. The problem becomes more serious when the water is unsanitary and/or clean-up services are delayed. To prevent mold and mildew from developing, you must act as quickly as possible to get the restoration process started. The window of opportunity to prevent mold growth is measured in HOURS, not days or weeks. The harmful effects of water and mold are sharply reduced by prompt and effective intervention, especially within the first 24-48 hours.

WHAT TO EXPECT
For all water damage restoration projects we use our signature PuroClean QuickDry System™. This system uses applied psychometric science, which is a proven process that beneficially manages temperature and dehumidification simultaneously to effectively facilitate evaporation and drying. The low-grain refrigerant dehumidifier we use draws in wet, cool air from the affected area and then blows out warm, dry air, ultimately ensuring the best outcome for your damaged property.
The first step in taking care of water damage is removing the water and all objects in the area where the water damage occurred. This includes not only the standing water that you can see, but also the hidden water that you can’t see. Water often travels to hidden areas, such as behind walls and baseboards, crevices and cracks in the floor, where it will sit and create problems later. It is important to make sure that the right equipment is brought in and used to remove all the water and get in the areas that are harder to reach. Water needs to be removed from the carpets, the padding, and the upholstery in order to prevent mold from growing. It is often necessary to lift the carpet up to make sure the floor underneath has been completely dried. Carpet and padding may need to be removed completely if the damage is extensive. Replacing carpet can be a much better option in the long run than trying to reuse a carpet that’s not really salvageable.
PuroClean professionals have special equipment to find hidden water and eliminate pockets of water and moisture that can cause higher humidity levels. It is important to make sure the moisture is out of the air and humidity levels in the structure are brought back down to normal so mold doesn’t start to grow. Once most of the water is gone, the drying and the dehumidifying process starts. We remove carpet and flooring to make sure the area underneath is properly dried. We bring in industrial-grade dehumidifiers to remove the water from the air, along with high-speed air movers to circulate the air and dry the area.
Once the area is dry, PuroClean professionals clean and sanitize all the contents of the home or building. Sanitizing Agents, Germicides, and Anti-Microbial Treatments are used to disinfect and stop the growth of bacteria, fungi, mildew, and other harmful microorganisms. Cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing will help to control and remove odors. PuroClean will ensure everything is completely dry and sanitary.
The last step is the actual rebuild process. Speak with a PuroClean professional about rebuild services.
